Who is responsible
ONEAMONG is currently a pre-incorporation prototype operated in the United Kingdom by its founder. For data protection questions or requests, email hello@weareoneamong.com.
What happens when you calculate
The calculator uses the birth date you enter and, if supplied, birth time and birthplace to create an estimated Human Number in your browser. Anonymous calculations are not added to the ONEAMONG registry by the application.
The reveal, pause, replay, copy and share-card features work without creating a ONEAMONG account. A shared card contains the Human Number and campaign artwork, not your birth details.
What happens when you claim
If you choose to claim a number, ONEAMONG sends a six-digit code to the email address you provide. The claim is created only after you enter that code. The address is normalized and converted into a keyed one-way claim key before the registry stores it. The readable email address is used to deliver the code but is not kept in the claim registry.
To protect the integrity of the registry, ONEAMONG stores:
- the one-way claim key derived from the email address;
- a separate one-way fingerprint made from that key, the normalized birth inputs and the KINPOINT model version;
- the estimated candidate number and the number ultimately reserved;
- the model version, precision label, claim status, accepted notice versions, verification time and claim time.
The raw birth date, time and birthplace are used to calculate and fingerprint the claim but are not saved as readable fields in the ONEAMONG registry.
Email verification confirms control of an inbox at that moment; it does not prove legal identity or that the birth details describe the email holder. Returning with the same verified email address and the same normalized birth details retrieves the same claim.
What happens when you join a product wishlist
If you register interest in an object, ONEAMONG stores the email address you provide, the selected product, your stated level of interest and record timestamps.
The product-interest request is used to tell you whether that object progresses towards production and for closely related updates. The current form does not subscribe you to broader ONEAMONG marketing. A wishlist entry is not an order, reservation, deposit or commitment to buy.
Why we use this information
ONEAMONG does not sell claim or wishlist information to data brokers.
Service providers and transfers
The site uses Cloudflare for website hosting, database storage, abuse protection and verification-email delivery. Cloudflare may process essential request, security and operational information under our service arrangements. Some processing may take place outside the United Kingdom; where ONEAMONG controls such a transfer, an appropriate UK data-transfer safeguard will be used.
Cookies and local storage
The prototype does not use a ONEAMONG sign-in cookie to claim a number. Cloudflare Turnstile may use essential browser storage and signals to distinguish people from automated abuse. There are currently no ONEAMONG advertising or behavioural-marketing cookies.
How long we keep it
An uncompleted email-verification request expires after 10 minutes and is removed through routine cleanup. An active claim is kept while the registry service operates or until it is deleted or retired. Product-interest records are kept during the demand test and for up to 18 months after the last relevant interaction, unless you ask for earlier deletion or continued retention is legally required. Essential security and hosting logs are kept for limited operational periods set by the relevant provider. During this test, rights and deletion requests are handled manually.
When a claim is deleted, ONEAMONG may keep a minimal retired-number record without the claim key where that is necessary to prevent the same number being issued twice.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict or object to its use, and receive a portable copy. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Email hello@weareoneamong.com with the subject “ONEAMONG privacy request”. We may need to verify that the claim belongs to you before acting. You can find independent guidance at ico.org.uk.
Children and family numbers
The current claim and wishlist features are intended for adults aged 18 or over. A parent or guardian may calculate a child’s number, but should not ask a child to register a claim or join a product wishlist themselves. Before opening child-managed profiles, ONEAMONG will complete a specific privacy and age-appropriate design review.
Changes to this notice
This is a testing notice for the current prototype. It will be updated before commercial launch, when new features change the information used, or when the operating business and domain are established. Material changes will be dated clearly.
